Character mix up : For the mash up I decided to take a character from one of my favorite childhood games, Pikmin. the characters name is Olimar and his three companions are called Pikmin. So at first I wasn't sure what to mix/mash up so I looked at the picture for a while and I decided to take the Pikmin and recolor Olimar with their colors. I also took Olimar's colors and re colored the Pikmin with his colors.
Artists steal final project: So for this project I decided to do something similar to the character mash up. I decided to make the colorblind chameleon. First off the chameleon is colorblind because the colors around him don't really match up with his colors. For example the spikes on his back are yellow but the colors in the background by the spikes are green. Ok so it might not be evident what I stole exactly. I really just took the idea from a picture from the internet. THE MERIT: So I took the idea but I changed the product. Well I added a lot more color to the background itself. In most of the picture online I saw just one color backgrounds.
Question time: How are stealing an copying different? So my original answer to this question was essentially Stealing is an exact copy and copying is adding different aspects or elements to the piece. I still believe most of this, but I don't think that making an exact copy is stealing anymore unless the person has the intent to steal. Now that could be confusing. There are plenty of ways that you could take intent to steal. I think that if you State that the piece is the original is the only way you can steal.
